History & inspiration
Born in Lyon in 1900, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry was a French writer, poet, aviator and reporter. A pioneer of aviation with Aéropostale, he remained deeply attached to his native region. He regularly stayed near Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne, at the Château de Saint-Maurice-de-Rémens in the Ain, a family-owned estate. His most famous literary work, “The Little Prince”, was published in 1943.
This room is a tribute to his sensitive view of the world, suspended between poetry and a star-filled sky.
